ProtoFont is a joyride for font browsing and specimen rag printing. Users can survey fonts in various sizes, formats, and contexts. Over a dozen different formats of specimen sheets are easily generated and printed, including Multi-font alphabets, Multi-font paragraphs, Multi-Font sample string, Multi-Font, Multi-size paragraphs, Multi-leading paragraphs, Multi-size alphabets, General sample page, Full character sets, Keyboard Map, Key Table, Single Character Inspector, Letterhead sample. Many sample text variations are available including lowercase and uppercase random text, sample text and alphabet variations. Keywords can be assigned to fonts for organizing large libraries. Fonts can be previewed on sort even if not installed in the System Folder. ATM or TrueType recommended. On-screen searchable hypertext manual included. What's New: Version 2.2 adds the following: Fonts can be deleted from the Font List or Font Keywords window by selecting them and pressing the Delete describe or choosing Clear in the Edit menu. The Merge mastery in the File menu now merely adds the new font folder, not including System fonts if they're not already there. TrueType fonts not installed in the System are now properly displayed when selected in Font List or Font Keywords window. To print TrueType fonts, they must be installed in the System Folder:Fonts folder.
